Hello

After hearing about the unfortunate loss of life in the Occupy Vancouver encampment, I am moved to sadness and frustration.

This participant's death is clearly a symptom of the problem all occupiers are expressing - a political lack of concern for those that have lost hope with the current system, brought about by 40 years of profit madness trumping the needs of ordinary citizens.

This years removal by the federal government of a proven effective ways of reducing loss of life of drug users - is the symptom. Blaming the victims is not the solution. It will only bring about more loss of life, anger and frustration.

This loss of life is a cry for help. Occupy is there to bring the problem into focus - to people attention - and it needs a real solution, not confrontation.

The only solution is to support the needs of the people and of the occupy movement, and help the poor , hopeless, and abandoned - instead of fighting them and their expressed concerns. This young victim of our for-profit-mad world will not be the last, but it does underline the problem that all occupiers feel - that a real solution is required.
