Is there no way I can give you my phone number and email and have you alert me if the occupation needs help?  I may not be able to check the website in time if there is an emergency like a surprise eviction.

I want to help but there is nothing I can do if I don't know.

I know many of the other occupations have a thing that says "send an blank SMS to number XXXYYY to sign up for emergency SMS messages from occupy (us)" on their front page.  A simple form to submit your email would also be good.
